Direct from the London’s West End, this superbly enjoyable production of Singin’ in the Rain is a smash hit with critics and audiences alike. It tells the story of the first Hollywood musical, when the silver screen found its voice and left silent movies – and some of its stars – behind. Singin’ in the Rain has finally arrived in Singapore and you can catch it at the Mastercard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands from 9 – 26 July 2015!
This spectacular show is packed full of the charm, romance, comedy and tinseltown glamour of one the world’s best loved movies and features all the songs from the glorious MGM score including Good Morning, Make ’em Laugh, Moses Supposes and the classic Singin’ in the Rain. I couldn’t decide which is my favourite track for I love singing to most of them while catching the old classic movie on youtube.
With high-energy choreography and sumptuous set design (including 12,000 litres of water) Singin’ in the Rain showers you with everything you could wish for in a hit musical!
Be sure to get tickets for the SPLASH ZONE for it will be much more fun! The leading actor has such strong charisma dancing while “splashing” the audiences! He was a naturale! I was seated on the second row and had a splashing good time screaming and laughing! It was perfect!
Kathy is pretty and has very good voice and when she sang ‘You are my lucky star’, we were in awe! The bleached blonde superstar, Lina Lamont, is hilarious and very entertaining! Just by hearing her talk can get you in stiches! I wonder how she put a straight face while singing “What’s wrong with me?” for we were literally going crazy laughing away!
You have to catch this entertaining movie musical and you better action on it fast cos you are left with only 10 more days to do so! I couldn’t stop humming to Singin’ in the Rain and Good morning as I walked out of the theatre.
