Si Chuan Dou Hua is one of the most well known restaurant in Singapre for Si Chuan and Cantonese dishes. Set in an elegant and cosy ambience, I am delighted to be there for a cozy dining thanks to Li Tian. Thanks for having me babe!
Barbecued Suckling Pig S$198.00 – This pig is grilled to perfection; crispy skin pieces that wasn’t oily with tender meat slices for easy consumption. I couldn’t help myself and went for a few more slices.
Double-boiled Deer Tendon Soup with Deer Antler S$18.00 – This is one pampering soup that I strongly recommend one to order. Filled with quality ingredients and collagen, this is one yummy nourishing brew everyone should order!
Stewed Fish with Bean Curd Skin and Roasted Pork S$22.00 – I love bean curd skin and it goes very well with the fish slices but I ain’t so sure about the roasted pork.
Claypot Rice with Assorted Waxed Meat – Many friends I know prefer waxed meat claypot rice for the Chinese sausages are very fragrant and brings about a tad of salty-ness to the plain rice. Very yummy.
Claypot Rice with Sliced Pork and Salted Fish – This is my favourite! The subtle fragrance of the salted fish camouflage into the rice grains, bind the wholly ingredients inside the claypot. I LOVE!
Claypot Rice with Chicken, Live Frog and Enoki Mushroom – Very interesting combination and not the usual waxed meat or salted fish version and I kinda like the taste although it is not as fragrance as the above mentioned.
Braised Spare Ribs in “Wuxi” Style with Pan-fried Vegetable Bun S$26.00 – I am a carnivorous thus I am very picky when it comes to meat. I am impressed with the juicy and tender braised spare ribs. You can choose to eat the pan-fried vegetable bun on its own or dip it into the sweet sauce from the braised spare ribs dish.
Deep-fried Yam coated with Soya Bean Crisps S$18.00 – I can easily finish 2 plates of this! It is soooo delicious and one can easily mistaken the soya bean crisps for peanut as it is so very crunchy! The deep fried yam is sweet and every bite is a delight!
Homemade Fine Bean Curd with Wolfberry – How can one leave Si Chuan Dou Hua without having a bowl of their signature dessert? They make only 2 batches of bean curd daily thus the freshness.
