My parents and I used to dine at Sawadee Thai Cuisine when they were located back in Sembawang for we were all staying nearby. The family loves dining there and thanks to Missuschewy, I was able to reunite the taste buds at their new relocated location, Bugis.
We are here to try out one of their Father’s Day menu, S$168+ for 4 person, which is still available this weekend.
Lemongrass – Refreshing with a tinge of sweetness. I love it!
Thai Iced Milk Tea – How can one go to a Thai restaurant and not order their popular Thai Iced Milk Tea? I wish it was a little sweeter.
Thai Rice Crackers – served with generous creamy chicken dip, its best eaten together with the crispy rice crackers. Delicious!
Thai Crab Cakes – Stuffed with savoury crabmeat, you can eat it on its own or dip it with the sweet Thai chili sauce.
Tom Yum Soup – Probably the MUST HAVE on everyone’s order! We were told by the boss that many of the customer’s feedback with the soup being too spicy therefore they have decided to make it less spicy to cater to the local tastebuds. If you would like it less spicy or have it spicier, you can always let the waiter know and they will be happy to help. Missuschewy and the mister loves the soup but it was way too spicy for the ketchup eating me!
Pandan Chicken – This dish has just made it to one of my favourite! The meat is juicy, crispy and flavourlicious! Me love!
Three Flavoured Grouper – This tasty dish is a fun combination of sweet, tangy and spice. I love the sauce and couldn’t stop dipping the fresh crispy meat in it! Love it when the fish is so fresh that you can taste the sweetness with each bite!
Fried Fish Maw with Beansprouts – This simple looking dish got us going back for more and I find myself digging in nonstop! Haha The flavourful fish maw tasted crunchy thanks to the stir fried beansprouts. Very delicious!
Olive Rice – The presentation of this Olive Rice looks so delicious and just mixed everything in and it’s ready for consumption. I didn’t know dried fried shrimps tasted this yummy with chicken bits. Love the interesting combination.
Durian Glutinous Rice – This king of fruits scare me for I have never been a fan! Hahaa missuschewy and misterchewy enjoyed this a lot as they are big fans. I have to bring my mister here to try someday for I am sure he would have enjoyed it too.
Mango Glutinous Rice – Another one of my all time favourite dessert! The mango is sweet and the purple glutinous rice drizzled with the generous coconut milk is heavenly! Love it!
Thai Red Rubies – I wonder if we had too much sweet from the Durian and Mango glutinous rice that this dish turn out a little bland. We were hoping it was sweeter.
Ending this post with a stolen picture from Missuschewy! Had so much fun eating and laughing our weekend away with so much good food. I treasure precious moments like this and secretly wished for more.
