Not Mauritius nor Maldives but Montigo! You can enjoy and chill in all luxury in this gorgeous resort and its only 40mins ferry ride from Singapore! A month ago, I planned this surprise birthday trip for D along with our besties, Bud and Vin. The customer service at Montigo Resorts is excellent and upon reaching our villa, we were all in awe! We were all smiley and excited as we go around the huge villa exploring the place. Everything is really awesome except for the food we had which was really disappointing.
We booked the weekday specials and chose the Hill Side Villa – 2 Bedrooms and Pool at S$335 (excluding ferry tickets) for 2D1N.
Promotion includes:
- Continental Breakfast for each registered guest
- 50% discount offSpa Ala Carte Massage per registered guest
- $50nett dining credit either at TADD’s or Pantain
Oh yes, your very own private pool right in your living room! How cool is that??
Our very huge living room with a built in kitchen equipped with almost everything you need! Complimentary mini snack bar and beverages! They even included a wii set for you and your friends to enjoy.
The master bedroom is HUGE with a gorgeous seaview. The bathroom is equally HUGE and has 2 separate cubicles for shower and toilet. I bet we can all party in the bathroom itself. Hahaa I don’t quite like the placing of the TV set for I can’t watch any programs when I’m lying on bed.
Look at those fluffy beds at the other room. Very comfy and this room also has a big bathroom sans bathtub.
Moving along to the 3rd floor is our open terrace! I bet we can filled this space up with more than 30 people! To surprise D, we ordered the in-house BBQ service to have dinner up here tonight!
Lunch at Tadd’s was very disappointing. The only dishes we enjoyed was tahu goreng, gado gado and dessert. All the dishes we had was a tad too salty but bearable. Some of our dishes came with chicken, prawn and beef meat and to our surprise, most of them were kinda uncooked. The chicken meat was kinda cold and impossible to chew so D had to spit it out. As we took a closer look, we saw parts of the uncooked raw meat. I continue eating mine and had the same problem! We had to ask the waitress to help change the dishes and to our horror and disappointment, the new portion served has the same issue.
Gado Gado IDR65.000 = S$7.04 – One of our favourite dish is this Indonesian salad minus the satay sticks for the chicken meat was not cooked properly and you can still see the red raw meat.
Tahu Telor Goreng IDR65.000 = S$7.04 – Tofu and egg omelette which is also another favourite of ours. It is so good, we ordered it again the next day!
Sate Campur IDR135.000 = S$14.64 – Consisting of 9 sticks of Chicken and Beef, rice cakes and peanut sauce. I am disappointed and my lunch was kinda ruined by this. Most of the meat I had was not cooked properly and I had to spit so many of them out. Even after asking the waitress to change it for me, the meat still turns out kinda raw.
Montigo Ayam Panggang Berempah IDR110.000 = S$11.92 – Oven roasted spring chicken with spiced long beans, sambal, rice and prawn crackers. It tasted not bad except that the chicken was really salty.
Soto Ayam IDR85.000 = S$9.21 – Chicken in Indonesian chicken broth, rice cakes, bean sprouts, potato croquette. Rather tasty too but a tad too salty.
Sago Malacca IDR35.000 = S$3.79 – An interesting way of presenting sago malacca and i like how sweet it tasted… i wished they will include a little more sauce.
We headed back to our gorgeous villa after lunch and went to dip in our pool where we laugh, sing and enjoy the gorgeous view hoping that time would stand still (kinda). What would a relaxing staycation be if we didn’t go for a massage? All the more for a massage since its 50% off discount! Bud and I chosen 90mins of traditional Indonesian massage. Check out the gorgeous view while having our sea salt feet scrub!
We surprised D with an in villa BBQ birthday dinner right under the stars at our sky terrace! It was so romantic and our chef and waiters are really friendly. I must say, Montigo services are really top notch!
Our package is inclusive of breakfast and they have quite a bit of variety to choose from. I accidentally deleted the pictures I’ve taken of the food stations (silly me). We went to chill out at the other part at Montigo called Tigo. Open air gazebos, pools and a bar for you to chill your noon and night away!
We had such a good time we would definitely return and this time we are going for 3D2N!
