Many of my friends have been raving about this new food joint and I am excited for I am finally checking it out thanks to Joey! Thank you for the invitation Joey and thank you Amanda for the lovely hospitality. You can now dine among the beautiful greeneries or take a stroll after dining for Grub is located at Bishan Park. The food served at Grub is cooked using ingredients as natural as possible without the addition of MSG and artificial preservatives. Today I will trying their Christmas Set which is available from now till Xmas!
The interior of Grub is not really big with about 10 table settings but its cosy and they have the outdoor seating as well if you prefer to get closer to nature. Throughout my 4 hours in Grub, this place is jam packed with customers! I am definitely coming back for more and you will see why!
Crabbie’s Ginger Beer S$10.00 – Nothing beats a nice cold beer with an awesome group of foodies before our appetizers. I can see why this is Amanda’s favourite for it is now mine too! Don’t let the word Ginger scare you for it isn’t as strong as you perceived. Infact I am loving the tinge of sweetness for it gives the aftertaste a nice kick!
Thatchers Gold Cider S$13.00 – A classic smooth apple cider that is 500ml and perfect for sharing! I am loving the variety of beer served at Grub.

Christmas Set S$30.00++ – Consist of Appetizers, Mains and Desserts! You are in for a treat this Christmas.
Appetizers – Soup of the Day or Smoked Salmon Salad with cranberry vinaigrette.
Soup of the Day – potato leek soup with delicious light gorgonzola cream with generous bacon bits. Rich in flavour with no MSG or artificial additives, give me another bowl of this goodness and I will finish it clean!
Smoked Salmon Salad with cranberry vinaigrette – as much as I appreciate the big piece of juicy salmon, maybe it can be cut into slightly smaller pieces so that I can have more pieces to eat it together with the salad. Love the crunchy toasted almonds for they give the whole salad an extra crunch!
Mains – Turkey breast or Honey Baked Ham.
Turkey breast – Juicy slow roasted turkey breast with gravy on sweet potato mash and pea tendrils shoot. Most people are afraid of ordering turkey because of its dry and tough meat but here at Grub, the turkey is juicy and tender! I kid you not!! Eat it on its own or paired it with the sweet potato mash for an extra oomph.
Honey Baked Ham – Honey Baked Ham on mash, apple sauce and French beans. I love how Grub serve it slightly thicker than the usual thin slices. Yummy!
Desserts – Banoffee or Sticky Date Cake.
Banoffee – Banana and toffee trifle with freshly whipped vanilla cream. I have high expectations of banoffee for it is one of my favourite dessert. I prefer it sweeter and I look forward to eating this again.
Sticky Date Cake – Sticky Date Cake with a burnt caramel, vanilla ice cream and toasted almonds. Given a choice, I will always order a cold dessert but this delicious Sticky Date changed my mind. Found by accident, the burnt caramel is addictive and this dessert got me wanting more!

Churros S$8.00 – Most raved about item on the menu is Grub’s signature churros served with chocolate and tangy creme anglaise dip! Best eaten while it’s hot, these churros are fluffy and crispy on the outside. We finished this within minutes.
Monteith Radler S$10.00 – Lemony, refreshing and malty.
My awesome company for the night! Cheers to delicious food, new found friends and many more of eating together!
