You know how there is a little Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in everyone? Or rather in this case, between eating clean and sinful? Like maybe I’ll have salad and then go for a dark chocolate cake afterwards because it’s ok since I’ve eaten little/healthier earlier?
You might remember the irresistible and healthy poke bowls from A Poke Theory which took Singapore by storm! The brother and sister duo is back with their 2nd food concept where they embrace A Poke Theory’s Alter Ego!
The Matcha Green Tea Coconut drink is rather interesting and I like that the matcha taste is not overpowering. The Chai Coconut drink however tasted a little too strong and odd for me. Kinda like drinking Chinese medicine. haha
The poke bowls are a definite must try and though they are pre-set, you can always swap or top up certain ingredients. The Umami Omega S$16 features spicy garlic sesame salmon on signature sushi rice together with lime avocado and kale chips is really delicious but a tad too spicy for me! I was told to try their Original Poke Shaker which is non spicy and perfect for the non-spicy-eating-me! Haha
I enjoyed the Green Goddess (Vegan) S$13 a lot with the addictive spicy Kimchi paired with creamy avocado poke on nutty brown rice, pomegranate topped with pickled vegetables.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. These spicy Fried Chicken Skin S$8 will blow your mind away! Perfect snack to pair with beer over endless chats.
Woah woah woah…. Cheese lovers alert! You kinda know this next dish is very sinful but nothing can stop you from ordering and adding those extra calories! AND because this is one of the best cheese toast ever! Bite into the Grilled Cheese S$11 with all the beef short ribs fillings (add S$3) and fall in love! Will I order this dish again? SURELY! #wortheverycalories
The Buffalo Wings S$14 is not bad at all and were more smoky than spicy. I like! You can choose to dip it with the house ranch dressing but I prefer no dressing since its quite flavourful on its own.
You might think this is just another Chilli Cheese Dog S$13 but this awesome combination is nothing near ordinary. That sweet and spicy house-made minced beef stuffed in the buttery bun topped with melted cheddar cheese. SO GOOD!
I love love love potatoes (so fattening) and this bowl of Loaded Taters S$13 make my day alright! Crispy, tasty and so cute looking!
I tried the Lemon Ice Box Pie S$11 and Berries & Cream S$11 and both desserts are kinda disappointing in comparison to the very delicious food menu. There were too much cream and I felt full just by looking at them. I have friends who are huge fans of their Berries & Cream but I would prefer something sweeter.
