I have heard so much about Wimbly Lu’s delicious waffles and Root Beer cake that I decided to sacrifice my “sleeping-in Saturday” and headed over early to avoid the brunch crowd. As I walk in, I was immediately attracted the lovely fluffy clouds hanging on the ceiling. A simple art décor with a nice whimsical touch to it! Perfect for chilling the day away with friends!
Ribena – Came as a set with my Grand Slam brekkie for S$15.00
Grand Slam S$15.00 – I was disappointed initially when I first saw it but everything on the plate tasted delicious! Creamy eggs, yummy crispy hashbrown, nothing like it’s simple looks.
Bacon & Egg Crepe S$9.00 – Not bad at all and the creamy egg isn’t making the crepe soggy and the bacon gives the overall bite some saltiness. Yums
Garlic Mushroom & Mozzarella Crepe S$9.00 – My friend says it tasted not too bad and he loves the strong garlicky taste. I’m not a fan of the garlic for sure.
Chicken Baked Rice S$10.00 – A little dry but the taste is delicious and my gigantic mister was hoping a bigger serving! Must be that good huh!
Root Beer Cake with vanilla ice-cream S$6.00 – Wimbly Lu’s most raved and signature dessert certainly leaves up to its name! I love the root beer sweet after taste. The cake was soft and moist! I love it!
Waffles with ice-cream S$8.50 – We chose the chocolate truffle ice-cream and I’m sad to say, the waffle is over-rated! Have you tried the one from Pique Nique or Little Ice Cream Kafe at Katong? Their waffles are very crispy and soft on the inside!
Hazelnut Butterscotch Bar S$4.50 – Not much butterscotch taste, very normal. Don’t think we will be ordering this again.
Chocolate Crème Brulee S$5.00 – Sweet and delicious but the slightly burnt chocolate top may taste slightly bitter.
