The New Balance outlet at 112 Katong looks very chic and sleek. I love the posh black sofa and the raw bricks wall décor. Never thought a sports shop can be this chic looking. I had a good time shopping at the outlet with D along with new friends who are professional runners. They shared running tips and gave lotsa encouragements to D who is running his first 10km run. Thank you New Balance and M for this pair of cute gorgeous pink 574.
Thank you Anica for taking time on Saturday and taking us shopping!
Look at what D bought! 2 pairs of shoes, some socks and shorts.
Since we have to gather by 6am because of the road closure, we had to wake up at 4am to get ready and leave home by 4.45am! The only time I wake up this early is either to catch a flight or I am still up blogging or working away. Anyway its my 1st run event and I was half awake and half excited. Upon reaching the destination, I was really surprised to see so many runners in Singapore! I didn’t know there are so many people who are willing to give up their resting sleep-in time on Sunday just to be here to run! Amazing sight!
On your mark, get set, GO! And off goes the runners! Can you spot D?
While waiting for D and slowly seeing runners making their way to the finishing line, I was very inspired by them. I have so much respect and admiration for all these runners that I even had the craziest idea to start training for a run. I love walking and can walk really really far but running has always been a HMMMM thing for me. After seeing some couples and senior citizens making their way to the finishing line, the image kinda warms my heart a little. I had the urge to go up to the senior citizens to salute them!
So proud of D for finishing his 1st 10km run! Good job D!
