Thank you Jocelyn for inviting me back to Lolita for another eyelash extensions review. This time I will be visiting their Rochester outlet and my beauty trainer is Ally. I have never done any eyelash extensions before prior to Lolita and since my 1st visit in July 2012, I was deeply impressed. I have to emphasize yet again how important it is to not only have your eyelash done at a reputable company but to also understand this whole procedure before going into it.
It’s true when one says your eyes are the window to your soul but its also true when one says your eyelashes are the curtains beautifying the “windows”. I cannot emphasize enough the high standards and quality Lolita provides for their customers. You may think the price is a little steep but I will share with you why its worth every bit!
A friend was sharing with me this other popular eyelash parlour, lets name it 123, and told me its cheap and good. I was curious and am also tempted by how cheap it is and decided to give it a try! BOY DID I REGRET!
Why put your eyes through the horror just to save on the pocket? I will NEVER put my eyes through this ever again. I went home with bad sore eyes and had to buy eye drops to ease the pain. My whole afternoon was wasted.
Question: I need to wear glasses and asked if the eyelashes will hinder?
Lolita: Eyelashes from Lolita are really soft and the beauty trainers are very sure I will still be able to wear my specs and that the eyelashes wouldn’t hinder. I am very amazed how I can still don on my glasses and still have pretty bright eyes. No hassle and comfy even with glasses on.
123: Assured me that the eyelashes wouldn’t hinder and even check against my glasses. After the whole procedure of about 1.5 hours, I opened my eyes to check and when I wore my glasses, I had a bad scare! To my horror, the eyelashes were soooo stiff and hard it pushes my glasses away and it was so uncomfortable. The beauty trainer offered to cut half the extended lashes away and assure me yet again that I will definitely be able to wear my glasses. The cut / trimed lashes looks rather weird but I was thinking as long as I can wear my glasses comfortably then I guess I’ll just make do but it’s still too long and stiff!
As you can tell from the pictures, the eyelashes from 123 is so unnatural and looks hard and stiff whereas the eyelashes from Lolita looks all natural and soft.
Question: Are the glue suppose to smell?
Lolita: I can assure you there is NO glue smell, not even a bit!! NONE! It is so comfortable there is no stingy feeling and you can totally relax your eyes and mind.
123: Very very strong stingy smell that it is constantly choking that I have to keep fanning and breathe really softly. And during the whole procedure, I kept tearing on and off. The beauty trainer even assured me that its normal. I can tell you it isn’t normal. =(
Question: Will this process harm your eyelashes and sting your eyes?
Lolita: Very comfortable and no stinging to the eyes. Very soft natural eyelashes and even after a month, your natural eyelashes are still in place.
123: The glue is so strong it stings my eyes so badly that both my eyes wear tearing and was totally red! It is so bad I had to remove them on the same day after 30mins. The lady told me to go have lunch and come back if my eyes still sting. I had lunch while tearing away and realise both my eyes were red and had no choice but to go back and have them remove. I spent more than 4 hours and end up with bare looking eyes.
The obvious white line on the eyelashes are the glue. They aren’t dry yet and it stings and smells so badly. =(
Why put your eyes through the horror just to save on the pocket? I will NEVER put my eyes through this ever again. I went home with bad sore eyes and had to buy eye drops to ease the pain. My whole afternoon was wasted.
With such long eyelashes from Lolita, I am still able to wear my glasses as and when I want and still have long natural looking eyelashes. I am loving every bit of it!

Love them !
hey shiro! thanks! =]
Wow that 123 place sounds awful! 1.5 hours!?! and I can’t believe they used White glue on Black lashes!
I used to put lashes on for a couple of friends and it took upto 30min max to do both eyes with those lashes that come in small sections which you build up on the eye, rather than one piece which you stick on over the eye – and I was considered slow lol. I’ve never actually worn false lashes myself because I’m quite sensitive to anything on my face (except make-up haha!) but lash extensions seem easier to wear and less likely to pull out your natural lashes. Are they heavy?
yes, WHITE stinky glue that burns the eyes too! =(((
cool! i suck at putting things on my face except for basic makeup. yes, im addicted to the lash extensions for they are not only soft and light, they feel almost as good as the real thing! SUPERB is an understatement. honest!
[…] I want to emphasize the high standards and quality Lolita provides for their customers. Going to the wrong beauty salon can be disastrous and I should know better for I have encounter once and will never want to put my eyes through the pain ever again. You have to read it HERE. […]
