To travel from London to Paris or vice versa is pretty easy and straightforward. Head over to Eurostar and book your tickets! It’s that simple. There are a few stations available and quite a few timings to choose from thus it is really convenient. In just 2 hours and 23 mins, you’ll reach Paris!
You can read my London post here: http://www.modgam.com/london/
I chose:
Departs | London St Pancras Int’l at 10:24 |
Arrives | Paris Gare Du Nord at 13:47 |
I love Ibis Paris Opera la Fayette hotel so much for it is located in the centre of Paris and just 3 mins walk from Cadet Metro Station! From the metro station to the hotel, you will pass by a supermarket where we stock up chips and mineral water! Super convenient. Right infront of the station we have Mc Donalds and a whole stretch of food places. You will never be hungry here!
I cannot emphasize enough how much I’ve always enjoy staying at Ibis Hotel for it is very clean, comfortable, has all the basic essentials, good location, value for money and most importantly… what you see is what you get! We can only rely on reviews and some photos we see on website before making our booking so it really matters to me that what I see is what I get. And with this, I can always trust Ibis Hotel.
Are you ready to explore Paris with me?

You have to visit Holybelly for they serve really delicious brunch! I love how they soak the pancakes in maple syrup so you can cut a slice and have it in one mouthful! It was so delicious I actually went back twice!

The air is really cooling so I sat happily under the sun having my yummy cuppa at Kitsune Cafe only to realise I got sunburnt quite badly. arghhh hahahaa morale of story, ALWAYS apply sunblock!
I told myself if I have the chance to visit Notre Dame again, I will climb all the way up to see all the gargoyles and the view from above. The queue was simply toooooooo long thus I left in disappointment yet again.

When in Paris, eat croque monsieur, baked or fried boiled ham and cheese sandwich. The dish originated in French cafes and bars as a quick snack. People watching at the same thing while seated along pathway with a view.

After visiting the beautiful church, we decided to follow what everyone else was doing; sat ourselves down on the grass and simply enjoy the view.
Pretty ice-cream rose that is even yummier than it looks. I wanted to beautify my “rose” with colours but I really love all things chocolate, caramel and butterscotch! LOL
Google L’As Du Fallafel and you’ll see this is one of the best fallafel in Paris! Just look at the queue!
On our last day, I didn’t plan anything except the must go Seine River and mostly just wandering freely. I even had time to check out Barbie Doll Exhibition at Museum of Decorative Arts! The display includes more than 700 dolls over 1,500 square feet and includes Barbie changing over the decades!! It is so interesting I spent over 2 hours inside!
Love the bakery smell and so we walked in and came out with 2 Palmier; French pastry, crispy and sweet!
And of cos Mc Donalds! I love checking out Mc Donalds everywhere I travel, who is with me? There are I think at least 12 different mc flurry and even one in speculoos! I was using the self-check out machine before it arrived in Singapore. #cheapthrill hahaa
Merci beaucoup Paris, you are so beautiful.
I prefer London but we’ll see…. heading to Rome!
Au Revoir!
