Chir Chir finally landed in Singapore after having over 100 outlets across South Korea, China and Taiwan! Chir Chir (pronounced as chi-ruh chi-ruh) gets its name from the bubbling sound that oil makes when the chicken hits the deep fryer. They specialize in using only fresh chicken and all their sauces and marinades are imported from Seoul to ensure consistency.
Seeing my Instagram flooded with the delicious looking Nest Snow S$32.90, I wonder how the 3 ingredients; cheese, whipped cream and sweet potato would taste as everyone was raving about it. Buried beneath the Cajun chicken tenders are the delicious sweet potato puree in cream sauce! With all the olives and peppers scattered and swimming in the cheese sauce; parmesan, mozzarella and cheddar, one can easily lick the plate clean!
Chir Chir Signature Crispy Fried Chicken S$26.90 is also available in Garlicky and Spicy and can be enjoyed whole, wings only or a boneless tenders. Fresh chicken is marinated for 6 hours in Chir Chir house seasoning and deep fried. Each dish is served with salsa and honey mustard sauce.
I am loving the claw looking clipper for you can use it to dig into the chicken without dirtying your hands! So smart!
Spicy Wings S$28.90 (7 drumlets + 7 wings) is a tad too spicy for #ketchupgirlsurrender served together with roasted sweet potatoes and fried toppoki in Chir Chir’s spicy chilli sauce. My spicy eating friends adore this dish.
Garlicky Wings S$28.90 (7 drumlets + 7 wings) is addictive with fried toppoki in soy sauce, roasted sweet potatoes, fried garlic cloves and deep fried chicken! It can be a little spicy before the sweetness, so for the non-spicy eating me, i prefer the Chir Chir signature fried chicken.
One of the other MUST ORDER would be this cute looking Chir Cream Beer S$13.90 (350ml) or S$18.90 (650ml). Inspired by a “latte kiss” shared between lead actors in a hit Korean drama, this fun concoction is meant to leave a “moustache” on the girl’s upper lip which the male partner helps clean up with a soft kiss. Topped with freshly whipped cream, you can drink it on its own to try the taste first but be careful not to stir too much whipped cream into the beer for it will cause some kind like a beer foam reaction and spill.
For the non-alcoholic drinks, there are a range of tasty fizzy, flavoured mocktails that can be turned into cocktails with the addition of soju call the Tok! Tok! For S$14.90 per jug for the non-alcoholic and S$18.90 per jug for the alcoholic. I like this Blue Marine for its sweet and thirst quenching.
For appetiser, I would order this Honey Grape Salad S$18.90! The sweetness from the grapes when tossed together with a mixture of walnuts, pine nuts, almonds and raisins and eat it together with honey and garlic crispy baked Tortilla, fabulous blend of flavours. Me love!
Like the Honey Grape Salad, this Mango Salad S$11.90 can easily pass off as desserts too! Served with sweet mango, greens, blueberries and yoghurt dressing, this refreshing salad will rejuvenate any bland tastebuds.
How often do you get to see a whole salt-baked egg on your hotplate? Interesting! This Garlic Roasted Chicken S$32.90 is marinated for 12 hours then oven-roasted to perfection! Each set comes with salsa, a whole salt-baked and a hot baked potato filled with sour cream. I am not a fan of the garlic but would love to try the same set in Rosemary flavour.
People staying in the east can now head to Bedok Point and dine in their second outlet. I am definitely bringing my besties and have a chicken-licious dinner next week!
