I wasn’t on my phone neither was I not paying attention to the traffic. Green Man came and I checked that traffic was clear and started crossing the road with a bunch of other people. The car beat the red light while we were crossing straight and dashed through us!!! Everyone screamed! Luckily no one was hurt and I was rushing home, I was just 2 steps behind… 2 steps ahead and I wouldn’t be here telling you this story. I came home trembling and shaking and I couldn’t even eat! I composed myself and called the police for I noticed the car number! I really hope the police will catch this irresponsible driver. I regretted not taking the contact numbers from the rest of the pedestrians so that we can bring this driver to task.
I am grateful to be alive… I was grumbling the entire journey for my shoe split open but thank goodness for that, isn’t it??? Things really do happen for a reason and I can only say someone up there is really watching out for me? Friends are telling me that if you escape death, your life will be very lucky and blessed from now. I am just very very very thankful no one is injured.

i’m sorry to hear you’ve gone through something like this.
glad you are fine <3 .
hey Adelina, thanks soooo much. i am soooo very very very thankful to be alive too. the image is still so clear and surreal to me.
Like my papa always says: never be the first one to cheong across the road… ensure the vehicles have come to a complete stop, then cross.
hey Wan Ting! that is why its so scary cos the road is cleared that is why everyone started crossing normal! we were all crossing halfway and the car dashed out!!!!
How scary! My reader wouldn’t be the same without your blog… thank God you are unscathed;)
xoxo
hey Donyale, that is like the sweetest thing to hear. thanks so much!!! i am sooooo thankful and i cannot say it enough. i still cannot forget the scene. xoxo
It happens every time in Jakarta, we even don’t have an appropriate zebra cross X__X !
that is so dangerous, u have to be careful. I’ve been to Jakarta when i was really young.
LOL ! Hope Jakarta was better when you were young..
hahahaaaaaa i wouldnt remember.
Oh wow, how horrible, I hate drivers like that! I’ve been in similar situations a few times, once with a car driving silently a couple of inches behind me at night through a parking lot where the asshole could see me but I didn’t notice he was there until I stopped to look around and he was practically on top of me and laughing because he almost hit me. Most of the time its with taxis who sometimes speed up when they see you. So glad you’re ok and you’re right, it just goes to show what a fine line we live on and how coincidental things can be like your broken heel. I think that’s the first time I’ve heard of a broken heel being a good thing – very lucky!
Omg, i am so glad you are ok too and that bastard has the cheek to laugh when he could have killed you??!!! I am speechless and so very angry to hear that! Anyhow, im just very glad you are ok too. Ya, i agree its such a thin line and you know it makes me think how fragile life is too. It doesnt mean you are safe just cos you are careful. I was still grumbling about the broken heel and now im framing it up like a trophy! Hahahaaaaa
There’s definitely a lot of sickos out there and it’s a shame that I was too surprised at the time to do anything otherwise I may have punched his lights out. But that’s life and we have to make the best of it – lol framing your heel is a great idea!
LOLLLL punching his lights out is a good idea but its soooo not worth doing that. i would love to punch him in his face! hahahaaaaa u are right, we should treasure life and live it as if everyday is the last. hahahaaa i already did! i dont even intend to repair it, im gona leave it there as it is and smile at it each time i walk by! hahaaaaaaaaaa
