I know this may sounds cliché but I am a very thankful person. Even when things don’t always go my way, I am somehow blessed with open doors with things working out and falling into places eventually. I often wonder if it’s because I am lucky or that it’s because I have awesome friends, or that I must have been a really good person in my previous life or that someone up there must be taking good care of me. I am a strong believer of the ‘everything happens for a reason’ and that if you hold on long enough and keep that positivity going… dreams do come true.
2014 has been really great for me; went to Japan for my birthday, won SnapAsia Fashion and represented Singapore to Taiwan (made so many awesome friends), went to Taiwan again for a 2 weeks holiday, Batam and a road trip to Malacca! Even when my mother inlaw broke her entire thigh bone and spent 3 months in the hospital going through physiotherapy, I was thankful she was recovering and that we shifted over their place just in time. It was so bad that she isn’t able to work anymore. Many people were telling me I must be crazy to sell my flat before my new place is ready and go stay with the inlaws but I love them cos they dote on me too. It was tough but I was still thankful we moved over before she fell so that we are around to help her and all. To cut the story short, things took a change and my mother inlaw’s attitude kinda changes and she decided to take control of a lot of things including ownership of my furbaby, Goofy. Despite our urging and explanation, she continue feeding Goofy everything and anything including human food. The poor furboy fell ill so many times but nothing too serious and I was still hoping for a happy relaxing December and close the 2014 chapter with a happy road trip. To my horror, she fed Goofy corn and God knows what resulting in my baby visiting the vet twice! We almost lost him and I was pissed to the max. Till date, she still doesn’t get it. She survived a horrible accident too and I don’t understand why she hasn’t learned to treasure life and the life of others. Maybe it’s really harder to convince older folks for they have their own thinking. I can go on and on with my story but I decided to end 2014 with a grateful heart because Goofy is recovering.
I generally don’t have a good memory of bad things because I don’t like to keep the negativity in me so I always choose to remember the good. I must have done something good because I not only have one but 2 offers from 2 of my besties offering me their cribs! Thank you Bud and Gal! Words cannot express my thanks and though this is not going to be easy, I am very grateful to have my own space at my temporary crib. For so many reasons; peace and harmony, it is better for us to move. #1moremth I am shopping for very simple appliances and I am very excited!
Out with the old, in with the new. Wishing all my friends a very happy New Year with many blessings in the New Year to come! #thingsaregoingtogetbetter
My favorite thing about the New Year is that it allows a magical sense of rekindling and a chance to start fresh.
